I have always been passionate about promoting health and fitness. I love to participate in any sport. I became interested in Aerobics classes around the age of 16, when I had to take classes as part of my Basketball County league training. I completed my Community Sports Leaders Award in 1992 and volunteered to do my GCSE PE in one year whilst studying my A Levels (PE was not compulsory back then!).
I gained my NVQ level 2 in Exercise to Music back in 2004. I ran my own community classes until 2007 when I went on maternity leave. I set up the WAN back in 2005 as a resource for beginners and instructors alike as I realised there was not a central point of contact for enquiries about classes(especially Community Classes) in the Watford area. I run the WAN alongside teaching classes in several centres in the Watford area. I launched Fitness Pilates in the Garston Community April 2009.
I have also worked for West Herts College teaching on BTEC National in Sports Science, my subject areas were; Anatomy for Sport, Fitness Testing, Training & Fitness and Nutrition. I now work for YMCA Watford as an Active IQ Tutor/Assessor.
